Questions about a trailer? We're one call away
What trailer categories do you offer?
We manufacture two categories of trailers — Utility and Car Hauler. Our Utility line includes five configurations: Standard (5×8 to 6×10), Standard Pro (6×12 to 7×14), High Wall (5×8 to 6×12), High Wall Pro (6.5×14 dual axle), and Landscape (6×10 and 6×12). Our Car Hauler line comes in Standard and Pro, both in 7×14 and 7×16 with dual axles. Every trailer is built from high-strength steel at our Oregon facility — the difference is in the configuration, not the quality.
Do you ship outside of Oregon?
Yes. We work with freight carriers to deliver across the continental United States. Shipping cost is calculated based on your location and trailer configuration. Contact us for a freight quote — we'll make it straightforward.
Do your trailers come with a warranty?
Yes. All Black Mesa trailers carry a structural warranty covering the frame and welds. Axles, lighting, and hardware carry their respective manufacturer warranties. We stand behind every unit we ship — that's not a policy, that's
how we operate.
Where are your trailers manufactured?
All Black Mesa trailers are designed and manufactured at our facility in Oregon, USA. We do not outsource production or use imported frames — every unit is built in-house from raw steel, inspected, wired, and road-tested before it ships.
Can I visit your facility before purchasing?
We welcome visits to our Oregon facility by appointment. Contact us to schedule a walkthrough — you can see current inventory and discuss your needs directly with our team.
Utility Trailers
What's the difference between Standard and High Wall?
Both lines share the same frame construction and available size configurations. The High Wall adds 28-inch reinforced steel perimeter walls around the entire deck plus a drop-down rear gate — ideal for loose materials like mulch, gravel, or debris. If your cargo sits flat and stays put, go Standard. If it shifts, piles, or spills — go High Wall.
What is the Landscape line designed for?
The Landscape line is engineered specifically for landscaping crews and nursery operations. It features a wider deck optimized for load distribution and daily commercial use. Available in 6×10 and 6×12 — both with single axle configuration.
What sizes are available in the Utility line?
The Utility line is organized in five configurations. Standard: 5×8, 5×10, and 6×10. Standard Pro: 6×12, 6.5×12, 6.5×14, and 7×14 (dual axle on the last two). High Wall: 5×8, 5×10, 6×10, and 6×12. High Wall Pro: 6.5×14 dual axle. Landscape: 6×10 and 6×12. All measurements are in feet — width × length.
What type of floor do the Utility trailers have?
All Utility trailers come standard with a 2-inch treated pine or Douglas fir wood deck floor — pressure-treated for moisture resistance and secured to the frame crossmembers.
Do the Utility trailers come with lights installed?
Yes. Every Black Mesa Utility trailer ships with LED lighting fully wired, tested, and DOT-compliant — running lights, brake lights, turn signals, and clearance lights included. 4-way flat connector standard. No assembly
required.
Car Hauler Trailers
What's the difference between Standard and Pro Car Hauler?
Both lines feature dual axles and are available in 7×14 and 7×16. The key difference is the braking system — the Standard Car Hauler has brakes on one axle, while the Pro has brakes on both axles. The Pro is the right choice for heavier vehicles or commercial transport where maximum braking performance is required.
What vehicle sizes fit on the Car Hauler trailers?
The 7×14 is ideal for most standard passenger cars and smaller vehicles. The 7×16 provides additional deck length for trucks, SUVs, and larger vehicles. Contact our team with your specific vehicle dimensions and we'll confirm the right configuration.
Do the Car Hauler trailers have tie-downs?
Yes. All Car Hauler models include recessed D-ring tie-downs on the deck. Contact us for the specific tie-down count and positioning on each model configuration.
What is the axle configuration on the Car Hauler?
Both Standard and Pro Car Hauler lines feature dual axles with Dexter Quick Lube Hub Axles and multi-leaf spring suspension. The Standard has brakes on one axle; the Pro has brakes on both axles for maximum stopping power under load.
Are the Car Hauler trailers DOT compliant?
Yes. All Black Mesa Car Hauler trailers ship with LED lighting fully wired and DOT-compliant — running lights, brake lights, turn signals, and clearance lights. All units meet federal highway requirements for trailer towing.
